Living the Dream
Dr. Robert
Ballard
11:30 a.m. -
1:15 p.m.
Tuesday,
June 12

Best known for his discovery of the Titanic
wreckage, Dr. Robert Ballard has been delving into the farthest reaches of
the sea for more than 40 years and is recognized as one of the premier
spokesmen for marine research. A legendary explorer, experienced leader,
best-selling author and former television show host, Dr. Ballard has led a
life as exciting and intriguing as his deep-sea explorations. He has
conducted more than 120 deep-sea expeditions. Among his other discoveries
are the German battleship Bismarck, 11 warships from the lost fleet
of Guadalcanal and the luxury liner, Lusitania.
He will share fascinating stories of the challenges he
faced in locating the sunken remains of the Titanic, 12,000 feet
below sea level. He will also talk about his return trips to the wreckage
as well as his many other undersea expeditions and the technologies that
have helped him. Dr. Ballard will discuss how he has turned his dreams
into reality by taking risks, overcoming obstacles, and ultimately finding
success.
The keynote luncheon is
included as part of the conference registration fee. Additional tickets
