Advanced Tanks: Air Emissions

This intensive eight-hour
course provides a detailed look into air emissions issues relating to the
design, construction, and inspection of aboveground storage tanks. It will address regulatory compliance, emissions calculations, and recordkeeping
and reporting requirements. This course is structured for those who have a
basic knowledge of air emissions issues and are interested in more
advanced technical information. This is an excellent follow-up course for
those who attended Introduction to Tanks during the 2006 ILTA Conference
and Trade Show. It is an ideal opportunity to learn not only from an
expert instructor but also from your peers in the industry.

For each tank cleaning
activity, there is a necessary level of competence required to understand
and recognize actual and potential confined space hazards and safe work
practices. This program provides an overview of the procedures necessary
to ensure safe decommissioning, degassing, entry, cleaning,
re-commissioning, and associated work in and around aboveground storage
tanks. The workshop covers the basic requirements defined by the OSHA
Permit-Required Confined Space Standard, NFPA 326, and API Tank Cleaning
Standards 2015 and 2016. Attendees will understand the primary roles of
owners and contractor tank cleaning workers including facility personnel,
tank cleaning supervisors, entrants, attendants, workers, testers, and
rescuers.
