Calendar of Events

Last year, the liquid pipeline industry, lead by the Association of Oil Pipe Lines (AOPL), initiated an accelerated research and development program to address the transportation of ethanol by pipeline.  Shirley Neff, President of AOPL, will highlight the findings of the research during the ILTA Conference.  During her presentation, Neff will discuss how the pipeline industry has worked aggressively to find solutions to the safety and technical challenges of transporting ethanol and ethanol-gasoline blends by pipeline.   She will describe how several companies are currently assessing the feasibility of constructing a dedicated ethanol pipeline.  Neff will focus on the benefits of an ethanol pipeline for terminals, including a reduction in tank truck traffic in and out of facilities.
