Toxics Release Inventory Reporting Requirements, 40 CFR 372 Requires certain facilities to annually submit data to EPA for specific chemicals.  Reports for the previous calendar year are due annually by July 1.  Under the rule, facilities with the SIC codes presented in the table below are subject to the reporting requirements:

* SIC 5171 encompasses facilities engaged in the wholesale distribution of liquid petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gases.  Products handled by these facilities include gasoline, diesel, fuel oil, kerosene, crude oil, naptha, and lubricating oils.  Bulk storage terminals have a storage capacity of 10,000 gallons or more.

Emergency Planning & Community Right to Know Act, Section 313 requires facilities in certain industries, which manufacturer, process, or use significant amount of toxic chemicals, to report annually on their releases of these chemicals.  The reports contain information about the types and amounts of toxic chemicals that are released each year to the air, water, and land as well as information on the quantities of toxic chemicals sent to other facilities for further waste management.
