Melinda Whitney joined
ILTA in December 2003. She coordinates ILTA's legislative
initiatives and training programs and oversees all of the
association's marketing and communications. In addition, Ms.
Whitney manages the annual operating conference.
Prior to joining ILTA, she
was Community Relations Coordinator for Williams in Tulsa, OK. In
that role, she organized and implemented a variety of community
outreach activities and programs for the company. She also worked
in various capacities from 1995-1999 with two daily newspapers,
the Tulsa World and the Dodge City Daily Globe.
She received a B.A. in
Journalism with a minor in Spanish from Colorado State
University. She is a member of the American Society of
Association Executives and the American League of Lobbyists.
