Terminal
Members as a group store virtually any liquid product that is transported in bulk.
These products include crude and refined petroleum products (gasoline, fuel oils, and asphalt), chemicals
(fertilizers, pesticides, solvents
and sulfuric acid), animal fats and oils (used in cosmetics and soaps), vegetable oils
(used in food products), molasses and alcohols. Some ILTA companies provide only
petroleum storage, others provide only chemical storage. Other
members handle
petroleum and chemical products in addition to fats, oils, and specialty products.
Some ILTA Terminal Members provide other
services such as blending, packaging, canning, drum filling, water treatment and analysis,
warehousing, and bonded alcohol storage.
