Air Emissions - Loading Operations

This half-day course focuses on air emissions factors for transfer operations. It will include a discussion on loading rack features, regulatory compliance considerations, and how to estimate emissions from tank truck-and marine vessel-transfer operations. This training is designed for terminal operators, compliance managers and environmental consultants.

Communications Planning for Emergency Response

Taught by emergency response communications experts Larry Springer and Mike Smith, this half-day workshop focuses on strategies for developing and implementing effective emergency response communications plans at terminal facilities. Instructors will demonstrate how to use a crisis communications model to develop effective communications procedures and ensure consistent messaging across an organization following an incident. During the course, attendees will examine the critical components of emergency response communications and learn effective practices for disseminating information both internally and externally following an incident. This course is ideally suited for terminal facility managers, corporate communications staff, and operators and compliance managers with emergency response duties. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

This course provides attendees with a comprehensive overview of terminal facility operations and system components. Topics include an overview of the terminal industry, the role of terminals in the supply chain, operational safety, product handling, tank design and maintenance, marine terminal operations, regulatory compliance and industry standards. The program also covers facility equipment, aboveground storage tank and roof designs, and tank components. Taught by industry experts, this course is ideally suited for new employees and for personnel seeking a better understanding of liquid terminal operations and facility components. Experienced personnel who want a review of tank and terminal fundamentals will also benefit from attending. Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days. 

Advanced Tanks - Air Emissions

This course offers a detailed look into air emissions issues relating to the design, construction and inspection of aboveground storage tanks. It features diagrams, graphics and clear explanations of atmospheric storage tanks, floating roofs, emission points (rim seals, deck fittings, etc.) and emission controls. It also addresses various recordkeeping and reporting requirements, and best practices for regulatory compliance. Attendees will learn how to estimate emissions from routine and non-routine events, including floating roof landings and tank cleanings. Breakfast and lunch will be provided both days.
