Andino Terminals Mexico joins ILTA

Andino is a Mexican company that owns and operates one bulk liquid terminal in the city of Tuxpan, located in the Mexican state of Veracruz. Andino specializes in the storage and handling of liquid chemicals for a diverse set of client industries operating in Mexico. They report a total storage capacity of 82,500 barrels. Andina tells us they decided to apply to join ILTA in order to be a part of the international community that we represent. Read More

Legislative Update
Fate of Chemical Facilities Security Bill Tied to Government Shut Down Impasse

The 115th Congress went out of session on December 31 without passing a funding bill for a quarter of the federal government, and also without a bill to extend the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program beyond January 18, 2019. ILTA is working to educate lawmakers about the need to regulate chemicals according to their physical properties, and correct the classification of gasoline, Diesel, and fuel mixtures. Read More
