ILTA Recognized the 2024 Safety Award Winners at the Annual Safety Awards Breakfast
On Tuesday, May 7, ILTA held its Annual ILTA Safety Awards Presentation and Breakfast to honor 28 terminal member companies that achieved outstanding safety performance in 2023.
To receive the 2024 ILTA Safety Excellence Award, companies were required to score in the top two quartiles for both the 20 question self-assessment survey on leading indicators and the lagging indicator survey based on OSHA Form 300A. This year, 52 companies participated in the safety survey, representing 70 percent of our membership.
ILTA’s Platinum Safety Award, the liquid terminal industry’s highest safety honor, was presented to two companies for their demonstration of an exemplary safety culture. MIPC, LLC received the Platinum Safety Award in the small company category, and Energy Transfer was recognized in the large company category. The size category used for a large company is 200 full-time equivalent employees or more than 400,000 hours worked by employees. Companies reporting less than this number are considered within the small company category.
The Safety Excellence Award was presented to Buckeye Partners, L.P., BWC Terminals, Chemserve Terminal of Wilmington, LLC., CITGO Petroleum Corporation, Colonial Pipeline Company, Delek Logistics Partners, L.P., Enbridge US Gulf Coast Terminals, Energy Transfer, Enterprise Products Partners L.P., Ergon, Inc., Flint Hills Resources, Howard Energy Partners, Intercontinental Terminals Company, LLC, International Raw Materials LTD, Kinder Morgan, Inc., LBC Houston, LBC Baton Rouge, LBC Freeport, Marathon Petroleum Company, MIPC, LLC, Motiva Enterprises, LLC, Motus Energy LLC, Murphy Oil USA, Inc., Odfjell Terminals US, Saudi Aramco, Stolthaven Terminals Houston, Inc., US Venture, Inc., USD Group, LLC
