WHAT IS A PAC? The ILTA Political Action Committee (PAC) is a critical tool in our advocacy efforts. Recognized by the Federal Election Commission (FEC), PACs raise funds to support political candidates who champion the issues that matter to the industry. Through the ILTA PAC, we ensure that the voices of the bulk terminal industry are heard in Washington, DC.
WHY DOES THE ILTA PAC MATTER? The decisions made by our elected officials directly affect the future of our industry. The ILTA PAC supports candidates who are committed to policies that safeguard our operations and promote growth. Specifically, in the 119th Congress, the ILTA PAC will focus on:
- Guaranteeing CERCLA liability exemptions for bulk terminals regarding PFAS remediation
- Ensuring a safe, reasonable transition to non-PFAS-based firefighting foams
- Reauthorization of the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS)
