The Terminal Operating Practices Symposium (TOPS) is a unique educational series designed for terminal operators to learn directly from one another. It provides a collaborative forum to explore effective operating practices, exchange lessons learned, and strengthen industry-wide safety and performance.

Presenters—fellow terminal employees—share first-hand experiences managing challenges such as natural disasters, environmental releases, equipment malfunctions, worker injuries and illnesses, near misses, and other abnormal operating events. By discussing what worked and what didn’t, participants gain practical insights they can apply in their own facilities.
