Cathy Landry / Friday, May 1, 2020 / Categories: Press Releases ILTA’s Kathryn Clay lauds STB demurrage policy statement FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Washington, D.C., May 1, 2020—Kathryn Clay, president of the International Liquid Terminals Association, today applauded the Surface Transportation Board’s April 29 demurrage policy statement: “We appreciate the Board’s willingness to address the unintended consequences brought about by the 2014 regulations concerning the assessment of demurrage charges. This new rule will bring greater fairness and clarity to the assessment and collection of demurrage charges.” ### Founded in 1974, the International Liquid Terminals Association represents more than 85 companies operating liquid terminals in all 50 states and in over 40 countries. Our members’ facilities provide critical links between all modes of transportation for liquid commodities, such as crude oil, petroleum products, chemicals, renewable fuels, fertilizer, vegetable oils and other food-grade materials that are central to the U.S. economy.
