Preparations Underway for TOPS 2022!

ILTA has started the planning process for this year’s annual Terminal Operating Practices Symposium (TOPS), to be held in conjunction with the EHSS Meetings in Boston. This valuable event, with participation exclusive to ILTA terminal member companies, provides a valuable opportunity to learn from real-world examples and case studies involving near-hits and near-misses.   TOPS will be held in-person on September 22 in Boston, immediately following the EHSS Committee’s meetings on September 20-21. We are grateful to Greg Johnston, Director Operations NED with Colonial Pipeline for volunteering to serve as the Chairman of this year’s event.

ILTA has already received a strong line-up of proposals for TOPS presentations. Topics will include lessons learned from incidents involving VRU separators, electrical hazards, ethyl benzene leaks, ethanol sampling equipment failures, and steel column failures during tank farm construction.
