Environment Subcommittee Received an Update on ILTA’s Submitted Gasoline Distribution Rule Comments

The Environment Subcommittee hosted a conversation about the ILTA submitted Gasoline Distribution Rule Comments. The discussion was led by Terri Holloman, Magellan, Bill Lee, CITGO, Svend Brandt-Erichsen with Nossaman LLP and Rob Ferry with Trinity Consultants. The panel discussed ILTA’s submitted comments to EPA and provided a recap of the main points of the ILTA technical comments to EPA’s proposed rule. The panel also discussed some technical nuances in EPA’s proposed rule.

Then, Environment Subcommittee Co-Chair, Jay Leduc, led a roundtable discussion on future issues to be discussed.  All EHSS attendees had the opportunity to share ideas for future panel discussions at EHSS and provide any ideas for ILTA’s 2023 Operating Conference and Trade Show. The suggested topics included Chemical Facility Response Plan rulemaking from EPA and the new Risk Management Program Rule from EPA. Members also suggested topics for ILTA 2023, including decarbonization, Environment Social Governance (ESG) reporting and environmental justice (EJ).
