Safety Awards

In July, ILTA’s Member led Working Group met to reevaluate and revise the ILTA Safety Awards program. The primary concern over the last several years was the level of participation across all ILTA Member facilities. Additionally, concern was expressed about overreliance on certain reported data, which might be discouraging ILTA Members from participating in the process.

The ILTA Member led group met this month and will meet again shortly to further its work. The Working Group, led by Shannon Caldwell of Zenith Terminals and Byrne Evans of IMTT, would welcome any additional participation by other ILTA Members. The Working Group is open to any ILTA Members. Please contact Michael Stroud if you would like to join the Working Group. The Working Group’s goal is to present its recommendations at an upcoming ILTA committee meeting.
