Senate Republicans on April 22 released a $568 billion infrastructure proposal to counter the $2 trillion-plus plan unveiled by President Biden early this month. But Congressional Democrats have made it clear they are not on board.

President Joe Biden pledged that the United States would cut its greenhouse gas emissions in half from 2005 levels by the end of the decade as part of a bold climate plan outlined on April 22 during a virtual Earth Day summit with 40 heads of government, including China.

With the Biden administration and a Democratic Congress beginning a concerted effort to combat climate change, biofuels are increasingly coming into focus.
