Many ILTA terminal members partner closely with barge companies to keep goods moving in and out of their facilities, contributing to local economies and interstate commerce. Some ILTA companies like Canal Barge are both terminal operators and barge operators. These companies have a special appreciation for the importance of our national waterways network.

But unless you are an Orthodox Jew, you’ve probably never really thought about what it means to keep kosher or even what is entails to handle and certify kosher products. You’ve probably thought even less about the role the liquid terminal industry performs in the process. 

ILTA Launches Y-TIP Symposium

Working closely with Saudi Aramco and Tank Storage Magazine, ILTA will host its inaugural Young Terminal Industry Professionals Symposium on April 6. The online conference is aimed at all types of under-35 professionals in the bulk liquid storage industry, from those working outside on terminals themselves to those managing their operations inside. The three- hour event will feature presentations on a variety of topics for what is sure to be a cannot-miss event.

You don’t have to be Irish to enjoy a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day meal. And we’ve found some great recipes that are made possible because of liquid terminals that will help you celebrate the day.  While most people think of liquid terminals as simply storing fuels and chemicals, many liquid terminals, including lots owned by ILTA members, handle and store liquid food products, including molasses and coconut oil.
