ILTA and its member companies are dedicated to providing safe, sustainable, efficient, and reliable storage and logistics services for bulk liquids. In July 2021, our Board of Directors adopted our organization’s first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. One of these principles affirms our industry’s commitment to continually reviewing new technologies and procedures that might improve emissions monitoring and yield emissions reductions.

On July 21, ILTA’s Security Committee hosted a meeting with Captain Andy Meyers and Lieutenant Commander Jeff Bender from the United States Coast Guard (USCG) about the recent informal announcement of another delay to the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Reader Rule.

The ILTA Advocacy efforts to prevent bad PFAS policy continue. The ILTA team continued outreach to Capitol Hill about the impact of bad PFAS policy on the liquid terminal industry. The ILTA Team, supported by volunteer ILTA Member Advocates continues pressing Capitol Hill about the implications of PFAS regulation.
